Thank you so much for scheduling The FLIGHT SQUAD assembly performance for Lawrence Gardner High School in the Kansas Juvenile Correction Complex. The assembly was wonderful for our youth and our staff. It was great to hear us all cheer and laugh together as they performed some amazing basketball skills that also involved some of our kids on the court. It is always rewarding to see our kids just have some fun. They LOVED it!

Their message of hope is spot on for our youth as they are currently living an incarcerated life. Our students listened intently as the FLIGHT SQUAD shared personal stories of their struggles and life situations they grew up in that many of our youth are currently experiencing. Their message of loving and respecting oneself and having the determination to make a difference through education and choices was well received.

Principal Steve Backman shared with me that one of our students has visited with him about how inspired he is from the message of making a difference. He feels like he needs to make a difference by sharing his personal story like the Flight Squad does. He will be graduating in June and has asked about speaking at the June graduation to share his story of hope.
